“In the garden my soul is sunshine”

"Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.
"

Louisa May Alcott

I love sunshine as much as my plants do. Actually I love sunshine so much it has made me jot down a new post just for the joy it brings amid this gloomy weather. I love its warm embrace and the way it warms my spirit. Even if it shows up for just a few hours, like today. It was enough to drag me out of the lethargic mood my weather-related migraine has afflicted upon me, and off I went, into the garden...

Corsican Hellebore (Helleborus argutifolius)

I got this Hellebore last year and this is it's first flower show, and the flowers are quite long-lasting. If only they all were ...

Forsythia bush ( Golden bells ):
Although undeservingly neglected for years and never pruned to achieve a certain shape (which will happen eventually), it has persistently displayed its show of vibrant yellow flowers for a few decades and has been
the fixture of my spring dreams

the delicate, dissected Peony leaves seemed quite eager to start their spring growth

There's no need for a piece of sculpture
in a garden that has a cat.

Wonderful post. That hellebore is gorgeous. I too love the sun. I'm like a cat and could just lay out in the sun all day.
